Role description
This individual will manage Salesforce implementation projects end-to-end, working closely with clients to understand their evolving needs and ensuring those needs translate into successful, on-time, on-budget delivery.
This future teammate must have experience managing Salesforce projects (as a PM, BA, or consultant) in order to serve some of the most respected nonprofits in the country.
This is a full-time exempt remote position from anywhere in Oregon, Wisconsin or California. Remote work outside of those three states will be considered for the right candidate.
What you will be doing
In summary, your skills and experience will be applied to helping nonprofits adopt and configure their technology solutions ranging from Salesforce, HubSpot, and related platforms and applications. Your responsibilities include:
- Manage Salesforce projects from kickoff through deployment, owning timeline, budget, scope, and client satisfaction
- Discover client needs through exploratory conversations, sales calls, and other interactions and translate them into a scope of work with clear outcomes, requirements/user stories, and a budget
- Build client and prospective client relationships by staying in close contact with key stakeholders
- Work with clients to define goals, business processes, and supporting system workflows
- Educate clients and administrators on project phases, system functionality, and the platform ecosystem
- Produce quality project deliverables, including kickoff presentations, project plans, status reports, budget burn reports, client requirements, and design documentation
- Translate client needs into user stories and technical requirements for the delivery team
- Design and build Salesforce custom objects, configure AppExchange or Third Party integrations to meet client needs
- Facilitate quality assurance and user acceptance testing, and perform light configuration (fields, page layouts, list views, reports) as needed to support QA
- Utilize prescribed project management tools and delivery methodologies to manage implementation schedules, resources, project deliverables, and communication
- Coordinate across technical and cross-functional team members to keep projects on track
- Contribute to CauseMic strategy by helping define products and services, and supporting teammates and leaders with sales, marketing, and delivery
Who you are
- At least 5 years of experience working in Salesforce, ideally as a PM, BA, or consultant with nonprofit clients
- Experience managing projects with technical and cross-functional/departmental components
- Salesforce or project management certifications are a plus, especially Administrator, Nonprofit Success Pack Consultant, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder, Experience Cloud Consultant
- Previous experience working in fundraising and program management is a plus
- Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Organized, strategic thinker who can communicate and collaborate effectively
- You thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- You have acute attention to detail, remain organized while tackling multiple complex projects, and are able to work autonomously
- You take ownership and initiative in everything you do, including speaking up when you believe there's a better way
- You understand how to work effectively with a remote team
